CCTV distribution boxes installed at airports
This distribution box was installed on a pole at the airport to house the power supply for the cameras. The client is a project undertaker in the Maldives and must receive the box within 35 days. After confirming the size of the customer’s internal equipment and the application scenario, the engineer recommended the right size for the customer based on the column size to be installed. The client was initially concerned that the hoop fittings would not fit well with the local ground column, so I shared some previous products with the client to demonstrate the flexibility of our installation fittings. After further discussion and confirmation with the team, the client chose to work with us.
Technical solutions that fit the customer's application scenario
Before confirming the PI, the customer proposed that the local climate in the Maldives is humid and the air contains a high level of salt; the boxes will have the risk of rusting, and they would like to replace them with stainless steel or plastic boxes, after I provided the customer with a quotation, the customer, after considering the cost, still chose the carbon steel boxes, but considering the customer’s application scenario, I recommended the customer to buy the boxes with thicker powder coating to extend the service life, and also informed the customer of the potential risks, the customer finally agreed to the powder coating thicker solution.
Help solve problems in time
After confirming the order, I first contacted the engineer to provide drawings. Although the customer did not explicitly ask for a rain-proof roof, we still equipped it out of responsibility to the customer, considering the customer’s application scenario. As we were required to cut the holes for the fan and screen, we needed the customer to provide the fan size. Still, the customer’s supplier was unwilling to cooperate, so we expedited to find of a similar fan for the customer in China and helped install it, solving the customer’s urgent need.
Saving transport costs for our customers
When the product was about to be completed, I learned that the air freight cost was on the rise during the quotation process with the freight forwarder, so I reminded the factory colleagues responsible for packaging to put the hoop-mounted accessories inside the box before packaging to reduce the size of the packaging, on the other hand, I informed the customer that the freight cost might have to be adjusted upwards. Hence, he better confirms the price with his freight forwarder in advance. Finally, the product was shipped smoothly.
